TCTC PATTON x HARA’S MISS HEARTBREAKER 422B (MR HOC BROKER)

ASA: 4110933 AMAA: 499058

Patròn is the result of combining some of the most potent influences in the maternal beef business, he is emerging as a sire who is built for the ages. In person he is one of the most impressive specimens we have ever had the chance of being involved with. It starts at the ground with his impeccable feet, they are deep heeled, perfect clawed and the spread between his toes is ideal. Wide at his base with power that holds true through his entire body cavity, with all the shag and bone substance you could ask for. The pedigree of Patròn is scattered with the best in the business, his paternal linage needs no introduction, and maternally stands one of the most exciting cows of our time, RJ Heartbreaker 422B. In the last five years this Broker x Angus/Harrietta cow has consistently raised as many high dollar show steer and heifer prospects as any bovine in America. The set of Patròn females that are in the replacement pen and those that are slated for the Dakota Classic will blow your mind, they are exactly what we strive to produce, and perfectly compliment what we have been working towards the past 2 decades. This is your warning, when you receive the sale book for the Dakota Classic or if you decide to come and visit us in Madison, you will be wishing you had utilized Patron in the breeding box this season.

HERE I AM x SHELBY 4031

ASA: 4067360 ACA: 413332

Here For Good will be a sire that makes an impact. He was the talk of the town whilst on display in Oklahoma City and has been the topic of conversation in just about every phone call since his debut. We don’t know if there has ever been a more appropriate sire for the times, and we think that the added consistency he will breed with is what will etch his name among the legendary list of the business. His full brother was the Champion Prospect Steer at the 2022 National Western for Pratt and his mother, Shelby leads the donor pen. Here For Good is the result of a perfect storm at Vanhove Cattle Company. We have been fortunate that he went into production of high-quality semen so soon, and the feedback about semen quality has been extremely positive, just ask those at 605 Sires, it’s some of the best they have seen. We are using Here For Good very heavily in herd. We hope to be able to meet the demands but there is no promise at this point that he will be keep up to the strong demand.

HERE I AM x Z228 ADRENALINE JUNKIE

ACA: 413333

We are excited to present the culmination of Here I Am and the infamous Z228 donor that continues to build a case as the most potent cow we have on the ranch! Here I Come is one of the biggest backed, massive footed and freakiest featured sons of Here I Am that we have been around. His full brother steer mates have averaged over $18,000 as they have gone through the pasture sale. We think he is going to add power and shape, hair quality and bone density in a quick fashion.

MAY WE ALL x ON THE MARK

ASA: 4085479 AMAA: 536810

You wouldn’t believe how difficult of a decision it was when we drafted the mother of Spot On into the sale heifer pen before the 2020 edition of the Dakota Classic. She is a Jass On the Mark x Shelby making her a maternal sister to Here For Good, the Champion Prospect Steer at the 2022 NWSS for Pratt and several other sale pasture highlights over the years. It didn’t take long to make her mark when she arrived at her new home in Hope, Indiana for Danny Harker. Spot On is the first born out of his new super star donor female, we want to thank the Harker family for letting us purchase this stud back. This son of May We All gets us excited to be in the maternal beef business, we have not been around a bull prospect that has matured like Spot On, his growth pattern has been impressive, each day getting bolder, stouter and more explosive. The combination of his structural build, center body shape, head and neck construction and overall dimension are seldomly found. He entered the world with a modest 72 pound birthweight, and is backed by 3 generations of calving ease, the early word on the street is that they come easy and are exciting in their build, those that have them on the ground are ordering more.

HERE I AM x MERLIN (WHIZARD x IRISH WHISKEY)

ACA: 410121

You won’t find us promoting too many Club Calf steer sires, but when one comes along that has the generating ability that Good To Go proved in his rookie season we think it’s necessary, several sons commanded five figures in our pasture sale last fall. We aren’t exaggerating when we say the reports are coming in daily on how promising this year’s calf crop is looking, particularly when being crossed on maternally based Maine, Simmental and Angus cows. Check out the video of one we found this past Fall.  If you get the chance to see him as a mature bull at stud you need to take the opportunity, he is monster hipped and backed, with trunks for legs and the roar power and muscle shape that the industry is leaning towards. Backed by generations of our most consistent revenue generating cow families, in fact 3 flush sisters to Good To Go sold in the 2021 Dakota Classic to average $12,000, another was one of the most decorated market heifers of 2019-2020 for the Blaine Rodgers family. We truly believe that Good To Go is one of the most exciting son of Here I Am to emerge and you can trust in the fact you will be seeing a deep representation of his progeny in our pasture sales for seasons to come.

At Vanhove Cattle Company I think it’s fairly evident that a huge emphasis is placed on the prowess of the females, and its without doubt that Merlin and his daughters have done as much for our program as any sire in history. There is a small collection of maternal bulls that have reached the LEGEND status at Vanhove Cattle Company, and Merlin has most definitely earnt his position in this group! These are some of the best cows we have ever had the privilege of owning, that’s why you don’t find them for sale as often anymore. Merlin is no longer gracing the pastures of Madison, so therefore no more semen will be made, take this as your opportunity to take your cowherd to the next level. Now deceased.

MATERNAL MADE x PADDY O’MALLEY

Please take this as your personal invitation into the dynasty that Ain’t Bluffin has built. He continues to be one of the most potent additions to herd sire battery we have ever witnessed and I promise you that we are as excited about this sire group as any that have ever walked the pastures in Madison, South Dakota. His progeny are proving to be a rare find in this business, they are cattle that will generate on both ends of the spectrum, from elite show heifers to high selling steers. The value we see in Ain’t Bluffin is the incredible set of females he is putting in our cowherd, however we decided to go back and see how many dollars the Ain’t Bluffin females have already generated for Vanhove Cattle Company, to this point they are averaging close to $15,000. Too often in this business is the legacy of a sire felt many years after their passing, when semen is too highly valued to be mass utilized. We believe Ain’t Bluffin will be one of the sires that people will be talking about for generations to come, we know we will be.

AIN’T BLUFFIN X WHIZARD/POWERLINE

We know that all the attention is currently centered on the females that Ain’t Bluffin is generating, however we think that perhaps Warlock could be one of his most intriguing accomplishments to date. He is a sire prospect who brings an extra shot of substance and power to the equation, in the flesh you will find he is one of the widest hipped, densest muscled and rugged boned members of our herd sire battery, not the mention the thick black hair that hangs from his hide. The Whizard x Powerline donor who set the foundations for Warlock is one of the most impressive beasts you will in Lake County, South Dakota. We want to thank Keith Lambright for sharing the same belief we have in this triple clean powerhouse and look forward to riding the wave that Warlock is setting up to ride.

When Cory Thomsen called saying he had found one of the best Purebred Simmental bulls he had ever seen at Jeremy Lehrman’s we knew we needed to investigate. When we laid our eyes on Amigo we knew he wasn’t joking, we are proud to have acquired this Purebred son of ES Surelock ZW15. The $45,000 W/C Executive Order female on the bottom side of his pedigree is one of the most anticipated females to ever sell though the Werning Cattle Production Sale. Amigo is homozygous polled and black, his perfect baldy face, combined with rugged features, added horsepower and breed leading performance are traits we look forward to injecting into the cowherd.
